August 19, 1940 - January 11, 2021
LaMoyne "Lee" Ethel Washburn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away in her home on January 11, 2021 at the age of 80 surrounded by her loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Lee was born in 1940 in Missoula, Montana to Glenn and Sarah Julian. She attended high school at West Valley High in Spokane where she first met her husband Dick in 1955. He was working on his Dodge convertible with chrome continental kit at a service station. She began working at the small diner next to the service station and would time her leaving work to coincide when Dick was at the service station so she could get a ride home from him. Their courtship continued to Seattle in 1957 when Dick and her father both began working for Boeing and where she graduated from High School. They were married in 1958, four days after Lee turned 18 and the rest, as they say, was history. Dick and Lee were best known for living their lives to the fullest and spending valuable time with family and friends. Lee loved spending time in the kitchen cooking meals for those friends and family and coordinated numerous family reunions over the years. She also took pleasure in knitting afghan blankets and throws for them as well. After her retirement from Bank of the West in 1999, Dick and Lee took to traveling North America visiting 44 of the 50 states, 10 of the 11 Canadian Provinces and Mexico. After Dick passed away in 2012, Lee focused her life on watching her grandchildren grow up and enjoying every minute. Lee will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rick (Ginger) and Ryan (Cheryl) as well as her six grandchildren Hunter, Layton, Kaisja, Jayden, Garrett and Logan, her brother Jerry Julian, several nieces and nephews, and countless cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Richard "Dick," sister in-laws Beth Julian, Ruth Dalbec, Iona Depner, Ila Davidson, Vivian Gibbons, Betty Davisson, and brother in-laws Clarence and Cecil Washburn.
