Ernest Adrian Burd

September 11, 1927 - April 29, 2022

Ernest Adrian Burd of Kennewick, WA, was born September 11, 1927 and was taken to heaven on Friday, April 29, 2022. One of 9 children, he was born in Campo, CO, to Ernest Avery and Ruth Walker Burd. He graduated from Pasco High in 1945 and enlisted in the Navy at age 17, serving in the Pacific Theatre. On June 1, 1947 Adrian married his sweetheart, Evelyn Liudahl. Together they raised 8 children: Eric Burd, Erin (Burd) Karr, Eve (Burd) Allard, Evette (Burd) Price, Gary Galstad, Blaine Galstad, Greg Galstad and Nancy Galstad. Joining Pasco Christian in 1943, Adrian has served as a teacher, and many years as an elder. Awarded Masters of Theology from Fuller in 1980, he was ordained, and joined the Pasco staff as associate, then as interim pastor. He founded the Inland Empire Evangelistic Association which led Adrian and Evelyn to leave Pasco in 1982 for 25 years as co-pastors of Orchards Christian Church in Lewiston, ID. They finished out their ministry by serving 2 years as interim pastors of Dayton Christian Church, Dayton, WA. Adrian was a lifetime member of Toastmasters, Disabled Veterans of America and the American Legion. He was Post Commander of the Lewiston Post and served 10 years as State Chaplain. Adrian and Evelyn retired to Kennewick in 2012, after nearly 30 years of pastoral ministry and continued to joyfully support Christian ministries and engage in the activities of Pasco Christian Church. Adrian is survived by his wife, Evelyn, and 5 children, Eric, Erin, Evette, Gary and Nancy, and one sister, Edna - leaving a family of over 100 children and grandchildren to the Lord's care.
