Ralph Fultz

Ralph Leonard Fultz Jr., 75, of Kelso, Washington, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, in Richland, Washington. Born September 5, 1950, in Merced, California, Ralph lived a full and meaningful life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family. Ralph proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1970 to 1976. His time in the Navy was a source of great pride for him and reflected his dedication to service and commitment to protecting others.

Ralph’s life was enriched by his love for the outdoors and his family. He loved hunting and fishing with his children, nephews, and grandchildren, outings that created countless fond memories. Working in a garden brought him peace, while cooking for others allowed him to share his love through food. Above all else, Ralph loved spending time with his family. Moments spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought immense happiness to his later years. He was known for his sense of humor and playful spirit, endless supply of goofy jokes and witty “Ralphisms.” He loved to laugh and truly embraced humor as a cornerstone of his personality. He had a knack for cooking and was famous for making the best pancakes, a treat eagerly anticipated by family members young and old. His love for animals was evident in the constant presence of a dog snuggled on his lap. His ability to bring smiles to those around him will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted wife Susan of 53 years; children Gary Forkner (LaVon), Marcia (Fultz) Vondruska (Brant), Robert Fultz (Melanie), and Debbra Howe; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and his sister Carol Haling. Ralph also leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless others whose lives he touched. Ralph was preceded in death by his daughter Rochelle; brothers Jerry and Richard; sister Karla; and mother Mildred. Ralph’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and devotion to family.
