Warren Darrell Webster, 68, passed away March 17, 2008 in Tokyo, Japan. Warren was born in Beloit, Wisconsin on August 11, 1939. He attended school in Wenatchee, WA and thereafter served in the United States Air Force for four years. He attended seminary at Tennessee Temple University, where he also received degrees in music and Bible. Warren served our Lord faithfully for many years as a pastor in Alabama, Washington, Idaho and Canada. God called Warren to join Baptist International Missions Incorporated where he became Pastor at the Yokota Baptist Church in Tokyo, Japan in 2000 and where he and his wife Joyce served as missionaries to the U.S. Military and to the Japanese. Warren loved sports, history and music, and could play several instruments. His greatest ambition in life was to live for the Lord and to please Him and to win as many souls for the Lord as he could. He always had a positive outlook on life, and stood firm in his convictions and his passion for the Lord. Warren was a faithful husband, father, pastor, servant and friend who was dearly loved and will be missed by all. Warren is survived by his wife Joyce, to whom he was married for 47 years; daughter Pam Nance and husband Kevin, of Lynchburg, Virginia; daughter Michelle Varner and husband Bobby of Dallas, TX; son Jonathan Webster of Normal, IL; son David Webster and wife Charise of Santa Clara, CA; brothers Harley Webster and Vernon Webster; sister Barbara Morse; mother-in-law Susie Bowen; brother-in-law Glenn Dobbs; grandchildren Ashleigh Gordy, Bryanna Nance, Brett Nance, Monique Webster; step-grandchild Trey Varner and wife Dallas and their daughter Ella Varner; and many, many other brothers and sisters in Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vivian and Walter Webster. In lieu of flowers, donations to missions in honor of Warren Webster are requested.
