Obituary

Wandalee Howard passed from us to join the Lord on Friday, October 10, 2008. To all who loved her she was a strong and enduring spirit who enjoyed her family & faith to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her husband Merle Howard, son Ivan Howard, granddaughter Leah Banks and great granddaughter Breanne Ellsberry. Wandalee is survived by her children, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her immediate family surviving her include, Merle W. Howard and his wife Irene and their 4 children; Deloris Roberson and her husband John and their 3 daughters; Fayrene Howard, wife of Ivan Howard, and their 2 children; Charlotte Jenkins and her husband Jerry and their 5 children; Paul Howard and his wife Wendy and their 2 children; and many others who love her who are too numerous to list. She has been a guiding light and encouragement to all who knew her. Even in her later years as her health declined she was endeared to caregivers around her. She enjoyed traveling, camping and family times. Born in Ponca City, Oklahoma on July 3, 1924 she later moved with her family to Washington State in 1954. She resided in Benton City most of those years with excursions to Loon Lake and Yuma, Arizona. Merle and Wandalee were avid travelers; you might even say they were nomads as they could never seem to sit still. They were always happiest on the road discovering new destinations and making friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2008, 2pm, at Desert Lawn Memorial Park located at 10th & Union Street in Kennewick.
