Vesta Marie Wray, whom everyone knew as Marie, went to be with her Lord on April 16, 2010. Most of her life was enjoyed near Centropolis, Kansas, until 2001 when she and her husband Delmer moved to the Pasco area. Marie was born to Edward and Edna Smith on February 13, 1924. She was baptized into Jesus Christ in her early years and she was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church her entire life. She married Delmer Wray on September 2, 1948. They had four children, Sally Garber of Blueridge Summit, Pennsylvania, Larry & Karen Wray of Baldwin City, Kansas, Dennis & Christine Wray near Ottawa, Kansas, and Everett & Sandra of Pasco, Washington. There are 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, one sister Martha & husband Loren Mohler, two brothers Alvin & Elsie Smith, and John & Betty Smith, and all of her children. Her parents preceded her in death and one grandson Jamin Wray. Mothers life was a story of love for everyone. Her life touched many people with her love and kindness. The family farm near Centropolis, Kansas had her touch for flowers and a welcome to everyone. Mothers dedication to her husband of 61 years will serve as wonderful testimony to her life in Jesus Christ. As her memory began to fade, time and places were all lost but she never lost her love for and recognition of her husband until her last hours. The three words that she never lost were I Love You, they will go with her throughout eternity. Funeral services will be April 21, 2010, at 10:00 AM, at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Pasco, Washington. Burial will be after the service in the church private cemetery. Viewing will be at the home of Everett & Sandra Wray 2761 W Sagemoor Rd, Pasco, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm April 20, 2010.
