Ty Thomas Clyde was born September 6, 2020 in Richland Washington To Robert and Brittany Clyde.

He passed suddenly and tragically on August 30, 2026, days before his 6th birthday.

Though his life was far too short, Ty filled his five years with more love, friendship, adventure, and happiness than could ever be measured.

Ty lived with an unmatched enthusiasm in every part of his life. He had a wonderful time at preschool with amazing teachers and friends, and was excited to start kindergarten in a few days. He loved Toy Story but recently mentioned how he was getting “too big” for his Toy Story backpack. His impeccable style consisted mostly of mismatched socks, and crocs. He enjoyed hot Cheetos, bug juice, fishing, riding his horses, swimming at the lake, playing outside, and road-trips with his dad. But more than anything, Ty loved being with his family and the people he loved.

Ty was easy to love and everyone’s best friend. He had a remarkable way of making anyone feel special without even trying. He was kind, funny, adventurous, loyal, and full of life. His huge smile and infectious happiness made the world around him brighter and those lucky enough to know Ty will never forget the way he made them feel.

Even in his final moments, Ty was doing what he has always done-living fully, surrounded by the life he loved with a huge smile on his face. There is comfort in knowing that Ty’s life, while heartbreakingly short, was a truly happy and beautiful one. He packed so much living into his 6 years. He knew adventure, he knew friendship, he knew the love of an incredible family, and most importantly, he knew he was deeply loved.

Ty leaves behind his heartbroken parents, and five siblings; Chloe, Mia, Cash, Ellie and Bo who all adored him and will miss him more than words can express. The bond they each shared with Ty will remain a part of them forever.

To know Ty was to love him. His kindness, friendship, enthusiasm, and enormous love for life will continue to live in the countless people whose lives were made better simply because Ty was in them.

Five years could never be enough, but he didn’t just live, he really made every moment and every day worth living for. His sister Chloe said it best, “To live like Ty is to love like Ty”.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 8th at 11am at the LDS Stake Center, 4618 Porto Lane, Pasco, WA 99301.
