Obituary

In Loving Memory of Tomas Garza

Tomas Garza, age 82, of Pasco, Washington, passed away on October 27, 2026. He was born on September 8, 1944, in Hidalgo County, Texas, to Yndalecio and Petra Garza.

Tomas will be remembered for his love, big heart, strength, and devotion to his family and friends. He grew up working in the fields and stepped into the role of a father figure when his father, Yndalecio, passed away in 1964. He carried the values and lessons he learned during those early years throughout his life.

Over the years, Tomas built a life centered around family and hard work. He was rarely seen without a beer and a cigarette in his hands. He was known for his deep love for his family and found joy in fishing and spending time at the casino.

He leaves behind his wife Carol Garza and sisters Esperanza Caballero (António) and Zenaida Salazar (Rosendo); his sons, Eduardo Garza and Alejandro Garza; his daughters, Lisandra Garza Valdez (Ruben) and Guadalupe Garza; along with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Yndalecio Garza and Petra Hernandez Garza; his brothers, Robert Garza (Mary) and Noe Garza (Flora); his sisters, Petra G. Reyes (Roberto), Juanita Rodriguez (Pedro), and Maria Elena Campos (JoseLuis); his son, Tomas Garza Jr.; his grandsons, Joshua Montaño and Thomas Garza; his great-grandson, Elias Cervantes.
