Thomas Andrews, a long time Pasco resident, born on January 12, 1942, in Fordyce, Arkansas to the late Jesse Lee Andrews and Margie Dell Andrews. God called him home on January 6, 2026.

Thomas moved to Pasco with his parents at the age of three and he was the third of eight children, He attended public schools in Pasco, WA and graduated from Pasco Senior High School in 1961.

After High School he worked for Boeing in Seattle, WA for two years and later drafted into the United States Army, where he was stationed in Viet Nam and received an honorable discharge. When his tour duty was over he returned to the Tri Cities and met the love of his life, his soul mate, Opal Smith and they married on August 16, 1974.

He worked for Umatilla Chemical Depot in Umatilla, OR, as a Security Guard and retired with 28 years of service.

Thomas enjoyed gardening and he was an avid fisherman. One of the biggest joys in his life was going fishing with his brothers, friends, and son Mark. His grandkids had a special place in his heart, and he loved spending time with his family.

Thomas was known for his gentleness, he had a big heart, and brought joy and laughter to all those around him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Lee Andrews and Margie Dell Andrews, his son, Tommie Franklin, his brothers, Roland Andrews, Larry Andrews and Jerry Andrews.

Thomas leaves his precious memories his wife Opal Andrews, sons; Sammy Sparks of Kennewick WA, Jimmy Sparks (Re'Gence) of LA Calif., Kevin Franklin of Spokane, WA, Mark Smith (Natasha) of Tacoma, WA, daughter; Dr. Shana Lisa Charles (David) of Olympia, WA, brothers; Isadore Andrews of Pasco WA, and Ray Andrews of Kennewick, WA, sisters; Fay Alexander (Diamond) of Seattle, WA and Patricia Penn (Elmer) of LA, Calif., his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Thomas will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His light, love, and laughter will continue to shine in our hearts forever.
