Terry Dale Simmelink, 78, of Kennewick died Wednesday, June 5th, 2024, at his home in Kennewick.
Terry was born April 11th, 1946, in Deer Lodge, MT, to Neil and Altha Simmelink.
Terry grew up in Kennewick on the family wheat farm with his three brothers, Lee, Dennis and Lynn and his sister Janet. Terry graduated from Kennewick High School where he excelled at football and track. However, his true passion was music and during high school he created a band "Terry and the Jaguars". During this time, he met the love of his life, Louise Schulke.
On December 27th, 1964, he married Louise and the two began a beautiful life together. Following their marriage, they made their home in Seattle for eight years before returning to the Tri-Cities.
He followed his passion and had a lifelong career in music. His artistic skills enabled him to create music for several generations and genres. His talents took him to Nashville, TN where he recorded music.
Terry was also a very loving father, the joy that he took pride in above all. He supported his boys with passion in all their hobbies and endeavors. Including coaching them in football, basketball, baseball, and guidance and encouragement in music.
Terry is survived by his sons, Jeff Simmelink and wife, Patti of Spokane, WA, Garrett Simmelink of Kennewick, WA, Derek Simmelink and wife, Dawn, of Liberty Lake, WA, and Cody Simmelink and wife, Mandy, of Kennewick, WA; his grandchildren Lindsay, Ryan, Clayton, Cleveland, Megan, Brady, Madylyn, Beckett, Makinley, Conner, Camden, Josh, Cohen, & Corbin; and his great-grandchildren Lenora, Rhys, Harper, Autumn, and Brynlee, He was preceded in death by his father Neil, his mother Altha, his sister Janet, and his wife Louise.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22, at 11:00 A.M in Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union, Kennewick, WA.
Burial will be in Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Kennewick. Reception to follow.
