Teresa J.
Weers Leckenby
Jul 29, 1967 — Jun 19, 2026
A Loving Wife - Teresa was the loving wife of Joe Leckenby for 33 years.
Their marriage was built on love, loyalty, commitment, laughter, sacrifice, and a lifetime of beautiful memories together. Through every season of life, Teresa stood beside Joe with devotion and strength. She loved her husband deeply, and the life they built together became the foundation of a family who will carry her love forever.
A Devoted Mother - Teresa was more than a mother. She was home. She was comfort. She was the voice they wanted to call, the hug they needed, and the heart of the family.
Her children: Samantha Michael and her spouse Christopher Mayo. Brandon Callahan and his spouse Tessa. Teri Leckenby and her spouse Robbie
A Beloved Grandma - She was also a deeply loved grandmother to: A'aliyah, Bubba "Todd," Malachi, Talayah, Kehlani, Liberty, Chris Mayo Jr., Lidia, Jayce, and Rylee, along with her beloved bonus grandchildren.
Her husband, children, grandchildren, and bonus grandchildren were her main priority in life. She would drop anything for them at any time. Whether she was helping her family, showing up for her grandchildren, or even coming to rescue a pigeon at the drop of a dime, Teresa was always there. One line her family could always count on hearing was, "I'll be there in 10 minutes." Her grandchildren were one of the greatest joys of her life, and she loved each of them with her whole heart.
Who She Was - Teresa had a rare and beautiful way of making people feel cared for. She would look out for a complete stranger as if they were family. If someone was hurting, struggling, lost, or going through a hard time, Teresa would do whatever she could to help. She gave without needing anything in return. She listened without judgment. She comforted people when they needed it most. Her kindness was not something she saved for special occasions—it was simply who she was.
She was doing what she loved most: being there for her family.
Her Legacy - Teresa's love will live on in every memory, every lesson, every laugh, and every life she touched. Her family will forever carry her with them—in the way they love, in the way they forgive, in the way they keep going, and in the way they honor her beautiful heart.
Teresa will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, her forgiving heart, her devotion to her husband and family, and the way she made people feel loved just by being near her.
We miss you more than our hearts can carry. And we will spend the rest of our lives honoring you.
She is survived by: Father: Edward Weers, Husband: Joe Leckenby, Children: Samantha Michael (and spouse Christopher Mayo), Brandon Callahan (and spouse Tessa), Teri Leckenby (and spouse Robbie). Grandchildren: A'aliyah, Bubba "Todd," Malachi, Talayah, Kehlani, Liberty, Chris Mayo Jr., Lidia, Jayce, and Rylee. Her bonus grandchildren and others; her two brothers and two sisters; her nieces and nephews; her aunts and uncles; and many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
"I love you, sugar."
And in Teresa's honor, may we all remember the way she lived:
WHATEVER YOU DO IN LIFE, ALWAYS PAY IT FORWARD.
