Teddy "Ted" McKee

Teddy "Ted" McKee was born on September 4, 1936, in Seymour, Iowa, to Frank and Sara McKee. He passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home in Pasco on October 25, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Ted enlisted in the United States Air Force in August 1954 at the age of 17, proudly serving our country for over 20 years. Rising to the rank of Technical Sergeant, Ted specialized in aircraft maintenance and served tours in Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam and the remaining years state side. He had a God given gift and love for upholstering. He was so proud of making people's possessions beautiful again.

Ted married the love of his life (Lynne Carr) in 1966. They were happily married and spent just shy of 60 wonderful years together. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, faith and unwavering love. Their bond was an inspiration to everyone who knew them. Side by side they raised six wonderful children, instilling in them values of kindness, hard work and family. His greatest joy was watching his family grow and thrive, surrounded by the love that he helped create. Ted was a simple man who had a heart of gold and was loved by many. He lived unselfishly and always put his family before himself. Through his absence weighs heavy on our hearts, we know he is in the arms of Jesus, and we look forward to the day we are reunited.

He was preceded in death by his parents (Frank and Sara McKee); his 13 siblings; infant son Donnie McKee; and son Mike McKee.

Ted is survived by his loving wife Lynne McKee; his children Rich McKee (Kathy); Elaine McKee; Dori Drago (Jr); Marla McKee; Matt McKee (Connie); Mark McKee (Tiffany); 37 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ted will be laid to rest Saturday, November 8th at Mueller's Funeral Home 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick WA 99338 at 10 a.m., followed by military honors graveside service at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering will be held at Grace Point Church at 12:30 (1915 N Rd 84 in Pasco) to honor Ted's legacy.
