Obituary

Tanisha -"A gentle spirit, a gentle breeze who touched many lives." Tanisha "Tee" Ontay Sparks beloved daughter, aunt, niece, sister and friend departed this earthly life on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, surrounded by family and friends at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland. Tanisha was born on November 29, 1977 to Mary Sparks and Oscar Kinsey Sr. She attended Pasco schools and graduated from Pasco High School in 1996. Tanisha united with the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She was currently a member of Word of Faith Christian Center and a dedicated member of the praise team and "cell" group. Tanisha's life has been a life of "Praise and Worship" to her Lord and Savior. Her desire was to let others see Christ in her. One of Tanisha's greatest accomplishments was her independency and graduating from high school. She enjoyed spending countless hours with family and friends, while keeping her nieces and nephews in check. She loved to sing and listen to her favorite music artists, Mariah Carey and Martha Munizzi, "Because of Who You Are" was her favorite worship song. She was employed by Emmanuel Daycare Center of Pasco until her health started to fail. Following in the footsteps of her grandfather and grandmother, Tanisha had a servant's heart and a desire to be a helper whenever help was needed. She shared her heart, home, and love to those in need. She was loved and cherished by all who knew her. Tanisha will always be remembered for her attitude of not giving up. She didn't let life's trials and tribulations stop her. If someone told her she couldn't do something because of health, time after time she proved them wrong. Tanisha was preceded in death by her father, Oscar Kinsey Sr. Her grandparents, M.B. and Annie Mae Sparks, and Floyd and Katie Post. Grandmother, Idell Kinsey and her special uncle, Ernest. She leaves in God's care; her parents, Minister Dave and Mary Houf ; her brothers Oscar Amanda, Derieontay Mollie, Demetrius, Cameron and Jerome; her sisters, Delilah, Sally, Alexandria and Destiny and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. Tanisha also had many special friends, who were like sisters to her. We love you, Tanisha, and you are greatly missed. Your Family. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, November 16, 2009, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home, 1608 W. Court, Pasco, WA. The home-going celebration will be Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at World Life Christian Center, 5200 Outlet Drive, Broadmoor Mall, Pasco, WA.
