Sylvia Lorraine Peck, 83, long time resident of Pasco, left us Monday morning, October 1st. She was born April 3, 1923 in Dodge Center, Minnesota to Elizabeth and James Checkel. She and her husband, Howard, were married in 1945 and moved to Pasco from North Dakota in 1952. She worked as the office manager for 34 years at Smith Truck & Tractor until her retirement in 1987. She loved to travel, so after retirement, they went every summer. Their adventures took them as far north as the Arctic Circle, as far west as Maine, and as far south as Guatemala. Her other loves were baking, planting flowers and working in her yard. She is survived by her loving husband; Howard, her sister; Flossie of Minnesota, her son; David Beryna of Pasco, her grandson; Jayson Sharon of Pasco, her granddaughter; Krista Chris Folta of Kennewick, and her great-grandchildren; Breanne, Ryan and Taylor. She is preceded in death only by her parents and her sister; Joey of Eyota, Minnesota.
