Suzanne P. Davis "Sue", our mother, grandmother, sister, best friend and loving wife, passed peacefully away on April 3rd, 2009 in Kennewick, Washington. Sue was born to John and Suzanka Pagac on July 29th, 1931 in New York City, New York. She was raised in New York until her family relocated to Chelsea, Vermont where Sue attended grammar school in Vershire, Vermont and later graduated from high school as the Valedictorian of Thetford academy in Thetford, Vermont. Sue went on to attend Northampton Commercial College in Northampton, Massachusetts. In 1951, after graduating, Sue married George M. Davis of South Strafford, Vermont and moved to Burlington, Vermont where she went to work to assist her husband in finishing his degree at the University of Vermont. After her husband's graduation, Sue and her family relocated to Truk, /East Caroline Islands where her husband was employed by the United Nations. Living in the South Pacific Islands for 15 years was at first the most challenging time of her life and then soon became the most blessed. Sue and her family returned to the States in 1965 and lived for 5 years in White Swan, Washington before relocating to Coulee Dam, Washington in 1970. Sue worked as an Administrative Assistant for various governmental agencies, including the Bureau of Reclamation, until the last day of 1989 when both she and her husband, George, retired from the Federal Government. Sue and George remained in Coulee Dam until 1999 when they then moved to Temecula, California to be close to their daughter. In 2005, after their daughter's transfer to Maui, Hawaii, Sue and George returned to Kennewick, Washington to be near to their 3 sons and their families. Sue's great passion was for reading and tending her beautiful rose garden, the only thing that meant more to her was her family. We will all deeply miss the sweet and quiet way Sue nurtured each of us and can only hope that we bloom for her in a way that pleases her as much as her garden. Sue is survived by her loving husband, George Davis, her son, Stephen Davis, his wife Annie and their children, Tina and Tony Davis, her son, George Davis Jr., his wife Stacy and their children Patty Kay and George III, her son, Tom Davis, his wife Alisa and their children Kait, Jake and Josh, her daughter and BFF, Pat Makozak and her husband William.
