Stephen Charles Porter, age 58, went to live in Paradise on June 12, 2010. He was born September 29, 1951 in Spokane, Washington and attended West Valley HS and Spokane Community College. He is survived by his wife Kathy, daughter Amber and husband Aaron Johnson and children Peyton, Zoe and Aadyn; son Ryan Porter and fiancé Becca Connor. He is also survived by his brother Don and wife Lorna Hunt, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was an avid collector of Hot Wheels and Matchbox die cast toys. He enjoyed Braves hockey games, horse races and music. He loved Mustang cars and most of all being with his children and grandchildren. He worked 11 years as a detective for the Spokane Police Department, retiring in 1984 prior to receiving a liver transplant in 1986. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 19th, at 2:00 p.m., at Westgate Christian Church, 7111 N. Nine Mile, Spokane, WA.
