Shirley Jean
Vendetti
Oct 19, 1937 — Jul 3, 2024
Shirley Jean (Neyens) Vendetti went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 3, 2024, in Richland, WA. Born in Benton City, WA on October 19, 1937, Shirley spent most of her living years in the Tri-Cities raising her family. With a talent for drawing and oil painting, Shirley spent many hours of her free time creating beautiful paintings that were enjoyed by many. Her painting endeavors led to involvement with the local Beaux Arts Association and eventually becoming the Mall Show Chairman at the Columbia Center Mall. If Shirley wasn't painting, she was decorating cakes for family and friends. From wedding cakes to baby shower cakes and all themes in between, every one Shirley decorated was a masterpiece. Of course, her buttercream frosting was the best! Shirley loved tending to her flowers and had quite the green thumb as evidenced by her beautiful peonies, tulips, daffodils and rose bushes that she grew through the years. With the flowers came the hummingbirds, which Shirley truly enjoyed watching at her feeders.
Spending time with family meant the most to Shirley whether it be a nice quiet BBQ on the patio with her children and grandchildren, or get-togethers during the holidays with her sisters and their extended families. Shirley's presence, love, kindness and laughter will be sorely missed.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Frank Neyens and Elsie Ada Neyens; her loving husband of 30 years, Stan Vendetti; daughter Nettie Vendetti; three brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her sisters Ann Galloway and Rosemary Harris; son David and daughter Gina Miller (Rick); grandchildren Stan Eubanks (Natalie) and Vincent Vendetti (Molly); great-grandchildren Slater, Clare, Trace and Lynlee. She is also survived by many members of her extended family, too numerous to list. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 26, 1:00 pm at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick.
