Shirley Louise Jones passed peacefully on 16 November 2023 at Sunny Vista Living Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born on June 28th, 1935 in Arkadelphia Arkansas, she moved to Pasco in the early 1950s with her family from Arkansas. She married John E. Jones, the Grandson of the late Edgar Brown in 1953.

Shirley worked for the Federal Government and U.S Army during her life. Her career took her to Arkansas, Louisiana, Ohio, Georgia, California, Italy and Germany. She enjoyed travelling, playing her piano, gardening, taking long walks and participating in church activities. At the conclusion of her playing days on her piano she donated the piano to the Colorado Mesa University School of Music in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John E. Jones and her Sister Betty Johnston. She is survived by her two sons Don (Donna) Jones and Dale (Sandy) Jones and her sister Ann Dresser; three Grandchildren, Lisha Jones, Shane Jones and Staci Barrett; two Great Grandchildren, Madison Barrett and Aiden Barrett; five nieces and nephews and Sister-In-Law Judy Spriggle.
