Shirley R. Green, 69, died January 25, 2012 in her home surrounded by her family. Shirley was born July 8, 1942 in Lincoln, NE to Ole and Eleanor Christenson. She attended Lincoln Northeast High School. She married Dan Green on February 17, 1962. They had five children. Shirley is survived by her mother Eleanor Christenson and her children: Scott Green Vera, Chris Williams Ray, Patricia Grow Max, Rex Green Amie, Michael Green Rae; grandchildren Todd Green Adrian, Anastasia Green, Kari & Kyle Williams, Juston & Bryson Grow, Shane & Jessica Green, Randy Dill Jill; great-grandchildren Bricen Green, Cole, Duncan and Camara Dill; sisters Marvel Christenson, Beverly Drew Dick, Sharon Merk, Janice Kritzer Larry, and brother Wayne Christenson Linda. Shirley was preceded in death by her father Ole Christenson and her brother Rex Christenson. Shirley was a stay at-home mom and daycare provider. She was a Brownie leader, a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout Den Mother. Shirley enjoyed working with children. Shirley loved to travel spending time in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Arkansas being a snowbird and visiting family. Shirley loved her family getting together for holidays, birthdays and barbeques. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1720 Thayer Drive in Richland. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center and/or Hospice at The Chaplaincy.
