Sharron Kay Snyder Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend passed away May 22, 2012 surrounded by her devoted family. Sharron was born September 14, 1940, in La Grande, OR to Harold and Lelah Browning. Growing up the only daughter in a small town, she earned her spending money in high school teaching dance to young children. She later moved to Pendleton where she met and eventually married Roy Snyder, her husband of 46 years. Together they relocated to Kennewick in 1967 with their two young children, Steven and Lynnette, where they lived out their lives. Her love of children drove her to open a day care in her home where for several years she provided a nurturing environment for many families. She continued to have strong ties with her extended family throughout her lifetime. In 1982, Sharron went to work for the Kennewick School District where she eventually became an Occupational/Physical Therapy Assistant. After retiring in 2002, she continued to work with children by volunteering as a Team Read Mentor and in her daughter's classroom. In 1992 she was blessed with the first of four grandchildren. From that day forward, Sharron was the grandma that every child dreamed of. Lifelong memories began with numerous sleepovers, hours of game playing, and a variety of craft projects. There wasn't a baseball game, swim meet, or awards ceremony that she didn't attend. Her life revolved around spoiling her grandchildren. Sharron was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, in 2009; her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, Rich and Sheila Browning. She is survived by her son, Steven Colleen Snyder and her daughter, Lynnette Jason Gunter; grandchildren Jarett, Blake, Jenna, and Derek; brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Judy Browning of Sparks, NV. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 30th, 2012, at 2:30 p.m., at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, located at 1401 S. Union Street, in Kennewick.
