On Wednesday, August 15, 2018 our sweet, caring mom, grandma, and friend Sharon Schneitter reunited with her husband who she had missed dearly for the last 6 years. Sharon passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Kennewick Hospice House as a result of complications from dementia. She was 74 years old. Sharon was born on October 31, 1943 in Port Alberni, B.C. Canada where she lived until moving with her family to the United States at the age of 8. They ended up in Pasco where she graduated from Pasco High in 1960. She married Don Schneitter on August 4, 1964 and was married for 47 years until his death. Her heart broke that day and she was never quite the same with him gone. Sharon was a homemaker and a wonderful babysitter for all 5 of her grandkids. Her and her friend Virginia would pack bags full of art supplies so they could play with the kids while having their daily lunch breaks together. Sharon loved being with her family and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow into adults. She enjoyed helping others and she would be there in a minute if you needed something. She is survived by her daughter, Deena Larsen (Tony) and son Rick Schneitter (Molly); grandkids: Brandon, Justin, and Kiley Larsen; Hunter and Dalton Schneitter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Schneitter, parents, Jack and Margaret Murphy and her brother, Pat Murphy. We would like to thank her high school friend, Jacque Poitras and her long time lunch break friend, Virginia Freeman for always being there for my mom and being part of our family. We love you guys!! Also thanks to everyone at the Hospice House for taking such good care of our mom. Your love and compassion towards our mom was greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Kennewick Hospice House. At Sharon's request there will be no funeral. We instead will have a family celebration of life in Canada next summer.
