Sharon K. Piche' passed away peacefully on January 11, 2019 at the age of 78. Sharon is survived by; her husband Jim Piche' of 55 years and their three children Randy, Kerri and Brian Piche' (Tri-Cities, Washington); her grandson Tyler Piche'; her brother John Butler and his wife Diane; and her sister Hallie Bradley. Sharon was born and raised in Zillah, Washington by John and Zelia (Zee) Butler. Sharon met James A. Piche' in Yakima, Washington. They were married on July 14, 1962 at St. Paul's Catholic Church. The moved to Richland, Washington in 1967 where they lived their life and raised their three children. Sharon was a loving mother. Together they instilled in their children the importance of strong family values, moral values such as honesty, integrity and respect for others. Sharon was able to be at home with her children for 12 years before she returned to teaching in the Richland School District. Sharon taught 6th grade students before she was transferred to the 4th grade. She was selected by the school district to teach 4th grade gifted students. During her years teaching in the gifted program she impacted many young lives. Sharon made special arrangements for her students to expand their life experiences. They traveled to the Oregon Coast (Newport, Oregon) to learn all about the ocean's marine life. She arranged outings to visit Mount Rainier National Park. She taught her students how to identify the different trees of the forest, names of the various pine cones and forest foliage. One of her adventures was taking her class to the King Tut Exhibit in Seattle, Washington. There are just a few examples of Sharon's passion for life and teaching. Sharon enjoyed playing tennis at the Tri-City Court Club and golfing in the Lady's 9 Hole Group at Meadow Springs Country Club where she met many of her friends. She loved the outdoors; bird watching, tent camping, the ocean beach and nature. Researching her family genealogy was also one of her favorite pastimes. Sharon was a devoted wife and mother. she was always an active, loving participant in her family's lives. Her love and support will be forever missed.
