Sharon Kay Fairchild passed away on February 22, 2025, at her home in Kennewick, Washington. She was born May 18, 1951, in Richland, Washington to Billie Aldene Lingle and William Andrew Griffith. As an adult, she grew to love her step-dad Jack Bolton.

Sharon graduated from Riverview High School in 1969 where she earned the Junior Masonic Award. She enjoyed playing volleyball, basketball, and softball. Sharon also played in the band and was on the drill team and was selected as Prom Princess. She used these skills later as a basketball coach.

Sharon attended Eastern Washington University where she studied Early Childhood Education. While in college she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent her adult life serving in various ways in the church, especially serving as a Cub Scout Den Mother and in the Young Women's program.

Sharon's life passion was raising her four boys, loving her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and daily walks with her dog, Shadow. Family was everything to Sharon.

Reading and writing poetry were favorite past times as well as completing many craft projects that decorated her home. She also loved to sing in the choir.

Sharon is survived by her four sons, Derek, Darrin, Damon (Libbie) and Dustin Fairchild; grandchildren, Kaylyn, Andrew, Edyn, Ava, Lila, and EverLee; one great grandson, Revan; sisters, Vici Weatherby, Pam Hutchins, Valerie Smith and Becky Armatrout; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Billie and William and step-dad, Jack.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Buntin Chapel, 829 S Buntin Street in Kennewick with interment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
