Shandra Anne Elizabeth (Johnson) Valdovinos, 50, of Kennewick, passed away on April 17, 2026, at Kadlec Hospital in Richland, Washington.

Shandra was born on January 9, 1976, in Kennewick, WA, to Karl (1947-2020) & Bonnie Johnson of Benton City, WA.

She grew up primarily in the Tri-Cities/Yakima area and attended schools locally, graduating in 1994. She enjoyed hanging out with her friends and listening to music.

Shandra married Juan Valdovinos on February 14, 2013, in Pasco, Washington, where they have remained in the Tri-Cities area for the past 13 years.

Throughout her life, Shandra was known for always being the first person to step up whenever someone else was in need. She had a gift for bringing people together and arranging help for anyone facing financial trouble. Her kindness and generosity touched so many lives. She thoroughly enjoyed baking, reading, and crocheting. She crocheted many baby blankets over the years, giving them to anyone in need. She loved to cook for the homeless and frequently worked with Camo Dave's. Shandra had a heart of gold and would do anything in her power to help others in need!

Shandra and Juan enjoyed watching movies and shopping at local flea markets. She also enjoyed visiting Juan's family in California. One of her most memorable family vacations was a cruise to Alaska, where she loved visiting the shops at the different ports. Her favorite stop was in Victoria, BC.

Shandra worked at Fred Meyer in Richland, where she was a cashier and made many lifelong friends during her career.

She is also survived by her Nieces, Klarissa & (Cameron) Channer - Columbus, NE, Kaylee & (Logan) Grosz - Columbus, NE, Niece, Jackie Maldonado - Tipton, CA, Nephew, Jonathan Maldonado, Tipton, CA, Nephew, Jose Valdovinos - Tipton, CA, Nephew, Santiago Martinez - Tipton, CA, Niece, Geneses Martinez - Tipton, CA, Niece, Destiny Valdovinos, Lindsay, CA, Nephew, Enrique Valdovinos, Lindsay, CA, Nephew, Emiliano Valdovinos, Oakland, CA, Dear Friends, Alice & Mark Bond - Kennewick, WA.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Karl Johnson, and Brother-in-law, Jose Valdovinos. Grandparents: Ernest and Imogene Bro; Robert & Margaret Johnson; Grandparents-in-law: Maxiniliano & Adelina Maldonado; Grandfather: Manuel Valdovinos.

A viewing & visitation will be held on April 21, 2026, from 2-6 pm with a service following at 6 pm at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home.
