Obituary

Sean David Simmonds passed away on December 27th with family and friends by his side. Born on April 24th, 1978, to Dave and Carol Simmonds, he grew up with his big brother Chad showing him the ropes on causing mischief and shenanigans.

Sean was a second-generation pool guy and had experience working for his dad, a company out of Seattle, and finally for his big brother before tapping into his roots and proudly creating his own pool store, Legacy Pool and Spa.

Sean knew better than anyone how to LIVE. He loved his multitude of friends and family and always wanted to be the life of the party. We all have so many Sean stories. He grabbed life by the horns and played hard – foreign beach vacations (he particularly loved Puerto Vallarta and Jamaica) fast cars, good restaurants, a cabin in the woods with snowmobiles, a short bout of being a Harley Davidson owner, a wicked Speed UTV that he traveled down to Lake Havasu to bring back home. He cultivated friendships everywhere he went, and will be missed by so many people.

Sean was preceded in death by his father Dave and is survived by his mother Carol (Darryl) Markham, big brother Chad (Lacy) Simmonds, grandma Elsie (Ernie) Petty, stepbrothers Tim (Kristi) Markham and Brian (Amy) Markham, nieces and nephews (Jayd'n, Ethan, Julian; Austin, Khloe; Garrett, Ryan, Ashley).

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, February 1 from 6 pm – 10 pm at Canyon Lakes Golf Course to remember Sean and share stories. His mother would appreciate his friends and family bringing a single rose to place in his memory; any donations should be made to the Children's Reading Foundation or Young Life in his name – both non-profits that he was passionate about. If you have stories or photos to share, please send them to hottubsean@gmail.com.
