Scott Robert Belknap, age 46, left this world, his torment, and his pain on February 24, 2016. Scott was born on January 28, 1970 to Robert Lee Belknap and Patsy Ruth Belknap in Kennewick, WA. He spent most all his life in Kennewick, living short periods in Oroville WA, Anchorage AK, Rogue River OR, Pasco WA, and the Chehalis area of Washington learning to do pyrotechnics. He brought those skills to the Fourth of July fireworks show over the Columbia river for many years. Scott spent his entire life bringing smiles and laughter to both young and old. A kid at heart himself, he became "Uncle Scott" to so many of his friends' children. They all should know and remember he truly loved them and they brought joy into his life every time he saw them. To his many, many, many friends, he loved you all like family. Scott was most recently employed at the Toyota Center working guest services and doing conversions for upcoming events. Medical issues suspended this line of work but he worked some remodel jobs and helped to move several friends into their new homes. Scott always found time for his music. He was an accomplished Bass Guitar player and more recently took up electric keyboard as well. He'll always be jammin' with his buddies from above, so keep your ears open! There will never be anyone like him again. Beyond simply special, he was the embodiment of generosity. The pain we feel because he has left us will be eased knowing his pain is over. He can be at peace now. Scott leaves behind his sister, Susan Pierson of Kennewick, brothers, David Danford of California, and Steven Robinson of Richland, children Cain Robert and Kayla Grace of West Richland, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and Aunt Pat. He also leaves so many friends and their families who will forever have a void in their lives. We will celebrate life at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home on Union Street in Kennewick at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 5th, with cake and coffee following the service. Pittsburg Steelers attire is encouraged. Those wishing to join the family for potluck afterwards can meet at The Clipper Ridge Clubhouse, 400 Clipper Ridge Drive, Richland. A musical outdoors jam-fest at a later date is being planned. Please sign the sheet during the coffee reception to be contacted with the event details.
