Obituary

Scharmal Veronica (Triesch) Conley, 84, of Kennewick passed peacefully on November 16, 2023. Scharmal was born on July 27, 1939 in Prosser, Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Conley, her parents, Joseph and Winnifred Triesch and her only sibling, Otto Triesch.

Scharmal attended and graduated from Holy Names Academy in Spokane, Washington before marrying the love of her life, Donald Conley.

Scharmal married Don Conley, on June 21, 1957. They were married in St. Paul's Cathedral in Yakima, Washington. They made their home in Kennewick, Washington where they lovingly raised four children. Scharmal worked at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Pasco, Washington and as a Store Activities Representative for McDonald's for several years. Don and Scharmal were the owner/operators of two local convenience stores. Scharmal's favorite hobby was sewing. She loved making things to share with her family and friends. Her other hobbies included beading and genealogy -a hobby that she shared with Don.

Scharmal treasured her family more than anything else. They were at her side as she made her journey home to meet the Lord. Scharmal is survived by her children, Jan Angerman of Kennewick, Lisa Vincent of Olympia, Scott Conley of Kennewick and David Conley of Kennewick.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Steven Vincent of Olympia, Tara Tallman and her husband, Billy, of Kennewick, Leigh Conley of Richland, Sean Sloppy and his wife, Alex of Yakima, Luke Conley and his wife Megan of Pullman, Sharla Sloppy of Kennewick, Michael Vincent of Seattle and Beth McGaughey and her husband, Aaron, of West Richland. She also left eight very adored great-grandchildren; Gabriella Vincent 17, Aubrey Tallman 17, Kinsley Tallman 14,  Madilynn Garza 13, Elle Sloppy 16, Hudson Sloppy 9, Wayne Conley 5, Heidi McGaughey 1 of West Richland. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Viewing will be at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home on Union Street in Kennewick on Wednesday, November 22 from 12:00 - 1:00pm. Followed by graveside services at Evergreen Cemetery in Benton City, Washington at 1:30pm. Flowers can be sent to Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home on Union Street in Kennewick.
