Russell Lee Wall, a loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather and friend, was unexpectedly taken from us on January 24, 2012. Born on May 6, 1954, Russ was a longtime resident of Kennewick and graduated from KHS in 1972. Later in life he went on to earn an AA in Instrumentation at CBC. Russ married the love of his life, Debbie (Campbell), on October 20, 1973. They were blessed with two daughters, Nani Dawn and Joanna Jean ("Little Russell"). A dedicated "sports dad," he was known to be kicked out of a few sporting events in his day. Following in the footsteps of his parents, Russ was bitten by the racing bug at a very early age. Supported by family and friends, he enjoyed a successful racing career at Tri-City Raceways and was known as the "Grandfather" of Mini Stocks. Russ is survived by his parents, Curt and Betty Wall of Pasco; soul mate and wife Debbie of Kennewick; daughters Nani (Phil) Clay currently residing in China; Joanna (Rich) Cooper of Pasco; his only grandchild, Brenden Russell; brother Mike (Chrys) Wall of Ephrata; mother-in-law Barb Campbell of Kennewick; and many other family members and cherished friends. An avid lover of dogs, Russ will be missed by his furry "sons," Kasey Kayne and Lil' Rok. He will be remembered for his quick wit, famous comebacks, contagious laugh and loving spirit. The family would like to invite those of you that knew Russ to join them for a celebration of his life. Please bring your pictures, memories, and favorite stories to highlight his "moments of glory," Saturday, January 28, 5 p.m. at American Legion, 1029 West Sylvester St., Pasco. In lieu of flowers, and due to severe medical expenses incurred prior to his passing, donations will be greatly appreciated. Donations will be accepted at the celebration or Tri-Cities Community Federal Credit Union in memory of Russell Wall.
