Royal G. Folsom, born June 20, 1926 to Wm. Percy and Katherine May Folsom, flew home September 21, 2012. Royal served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and came home with a Purple Heart and passionate love for his country. Royal fathered 7 children, Bill Folsom, Terri Folsom, Robert Whaley, Frank Whaley, Charles, Tony and Paul Folsom, but was a "father" to many. He is survived by his wife, Jan. Royal led a very active life in ministry through the N.W. for over 50 years; his cards of encouragement and his ready smile will be missed. Memorial services will be held today, September 25, 2012, 1 p.m., at The Garden Christian Assembly Center, 7425 W. Clearwater Avenue in Kennewick.
