Loving wife, sister, mom, grandma, aunt and friend, Rose M. Caughey, of Kennewick, WA, passed away with her husband and sons by her side in the early morning of Tuesday, March 14, 2012. She was born to William and Lela Lane in Modesto, CA on August 16th, 1941. She met the love of her life, Johnny, while they were both serving in the Army, and they married on May 7, 1966 in Spokane, WA. They had twin boys, Allen and Steve, in May of 1968. They moved around as a young family, and eventually made their permanent home in Washington State. She worked many years as a Civil Service Manager. After retirement, they moved to Eastern Washington to enjoy the sunshine and quieter life. She enjoyed their trips to Oregon and California to visit her siblings. They spent their holidays with their extended family where Rose's famous ham was always a hit. She loved playing Bingo and visiting with her Bingo friends at Bingo Boulevard. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Johnny M. Caughey; her sons Allen Caughey, of Puyallup, WA, and Steve Ronda Caughey, of Pasco, WA; Grandchildren Jordan Kenny Hutchins, of Prince Frederick, MD; Chase & Alexis Caughey, of Tacoma, WA, McKenzie & Matthew Caughey, of Pasco, WA; great-granddaughter, Serenity Hutchins, of MD; brother James Lane, of Salida, CA; sisters Annette Parker, of Modesto, CA, Linda Jim Haley, of Jamestown, CA, and Judy Alvin Robinson of Brownsville, OR; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Lela Lane. She was loved greatly by all that knew her, and especially by her family. Her smile, positive outlook and loving spirit will be missed. There will be a viewing on Sunday, March 18, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 10th and Union Street, Kennewick. Graveside services will be held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 19. There will be a reception/potluck immediately following the service at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home.
