On January 22nd, 2025, at home surrounded by family, Rosie went on her glorious journey to Heaven. Rosie was born on July 17th, 1942. She was the second daughter of Paul and Bernice Benoy. Rosie lived a full life until the age of 82 years old. Her father's profession with the Manhattan Project determined the location of their first home in the Tri-Cities (Camp Hanford).

Rosie was a dedicated nurse for over 30 years. She had a caring and compassionate heart for not only her patients but also her co-workers, which led to many lifelong friendships. Rosie's journey of love started with a church member crying at the Christmas Craft Show. Rosie went up to her, comforted her. This friend shared with Rosie how much her past cards had helped her through a very rough time in her life. Rosie shared with Franc her vision of being an encouragement to others and Franc supported her.

Rosie prayed for each person relying on the holy spirit's guidance on the right words to say. Rosie's gift came to fruition. From that day forward Rosie embraced her passion for sending cards of encouragement as her mission. Her commitment to sharing God's love was a testament to over 150 people, "And that's a lot of Stamps"!

Some of Rosie's favorite vacation spots were Lincoln City and Leavenworth. She enjoyed her yearly visit to the teddy bear shop, where she chose the perfect bear to bring home.

Rosie's love of dessert originated from her Swedish background. So, Rosie couldn't pass up a visit to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Leavenworth.

Rosie had a gift for uplifting others. Whether you were feeling down, alone, or lost, she had a way of making you feel seen, valued, and loved.

Rosie was very involved in her church over the years working in the nursery and helping to teach junior high class. She also worked on the missions committee and enjoyed attending WI-NE-MA Christian Camp.

Rosie was deeply loved by her family, friends, and her church community. Her presence was a source of joy, comfort, and inspiration to all.

Rosie and Franc met in Spokane at a coffee hour after church. Rosie noticed three handsome service men laughing before church began. Franc happened to notice Rosie peeking back at him during the service.

Due to the matchmaking of the pastor's wife and an elder, Rosie and Franc were seated together at the Longhorn restaurant. There they discovered both grandparents knew each other. That is where their love story began. Rosie was married to the "Love of her Life" Franc for 59 plus years. What a treasure that is!

Rosie was preceded by her parents, Paul and Bernice Benoy, and her sisters Betty Anderson and Barbara Benoy. She is also preceded by her great-grandchild August Voag.

She is survived by her husband, Francis Overcash; her children Teresa Voag, Tina Dexter and Husband Richard, Darren Overcash and Wife Carol. Grandchildren; Katlin and Wife Anna, Marisa, Lynsie, and Husband Nick, Forest, Alex, and Wife Daisy, Katie and Megan. Great Grandchildren: Sawyer and expected baby girl. She is also survived by her brother Ron Benoy and Wife Bonita.

Her memory lives on in every Teddy Bear we see, in the color red, every card we read, and the sound of the ocean.
