Ron Giles passed away on May 31, 2025. He passed at home surrounded by loved ones after a short battle with cancer. Ron was 78 years old. He was born on December 10, 1946.

Ron was married to Linda Giles on September 16, 1967. They created a life together and had three children, Darrin, Shannon and Dammon.

Ron worked at Boise Cascade for 37 years before retiring to enjoy his family.

He instilled the meaning of hard work to his kids in which they follow in his footsteps to make a good living for their families.

Ron had a remarkable memory, especially when it came to lyrics of songs. He knew all of the words to The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and Righteous Brothers. He was known for his spontaneous outbursts of 'trivial' knowledge.

Ron is survived by his wife Linda; their three children; son Darrin Giles (Libby), daughter Shannon York (Cary) and son Dammon Giles (Nicole); 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
