Rod
Tamburello Sr.
Jan 10, 1951 — Jul 22, 2026
Kennewick
Rod Tamburello Sr.
He was born January 10, 1951, Yakima, WA.
It is with an overwhelming sadness that the family of Rod William Tamburello announces the last day of his more than 7-year battle with complete kidney failure and complications from other surgeries peacefully. It came to an end with his passing on July 22, 2026.
Rod was known for his knowledge, love, and passion he has for classic cars. In the early years Rod worked at a few gas stations for the Burks Brothers and the Machinist Union, Johnson Automotive, and Astley’s Transmission before building and starting his own shop, Rod’s Transmission and Auto Repair. There he helped people with their restoration needs no matter how big or small for the last 25 years. He lived with a smile on his face and brought just as many smiles to those he ran across on a daily basis. He will always be remembered for his amazing up beat attitude on life and his wealth of knowledge.
Rod was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Helen, sister Loretta, brother Chuck and nieces, Sheila and Carissa Anne. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Sherrie, children Roddy Jr. Kerrie, brothers Pete and Richard, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at his shop at 3 PM.
