Obituary

Robert John Hosko passed peacefully at his home in Pasco on October 5, 2025. He was 91 years old.

Dad always said, "I have lived a full and wonderful life". Sitting with him and listening to his many, many memories, his children, truly know he did.

Robert was born on July 10, 1934, to John and Harriet (Dykstra) Hosko, the oldest of five children. He grew up on the family farm in Whitstran on Hosko Road, working very hard and running free when time allowed.

Robert graduated from Prosser High School, and soon after enlisted in the Army. He worked at Boise Cascade as a fitter/welder for 30 years, taught welding at Columbia Basin College for 4 years, and was an Engineer at Hanford for 14 years, retiring in 1995.

Robert was an avid sports fan, he had a passion for all high school sporting events in the Tri-Cities.

He enjoyed being a referee for Grid kids football, basketball, and coaching Pony Colt baseball.

Robert loved working for the Tri-City Americans for 32 years as an off-ice official. He worked the visitor's penalty box. He was able to meet and befriend many upcoming NHL players during that time.

Robert and Georgia, also spent much time in their motor home traveling the US.

Robert is survived by his brother, Peter Hosko, and sister, Ida Mains. His children, Kathy Richardson and Robert, Jr; stepdaughter Kelly Gage; Son-in-law, John Hageman, Son-in-law, Carl Raska; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Harriet Hosko; wife, Georgia Mae; brother, Edward Hosko; sister Doris Bates; stepdaughters Krista Hageman and Kathi Gage Raska, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Grave side services will be at City View Cemetery in Pasco on October 25, 2025, at 11:00 am.
