Robert ?Bob? Daniel Cox, 84, of Kennewick, passed away November 16, 2011. Robert was born February 27, 1927 in Reese, Kansas, the fourth child of Ernest and Clarissa Cox. In April 1945 he married Frances Sanders and moved shortly thereafter to Troutdale, Oregon. In 1958, he moved his family to the Tri-Cities where he worked construction with the building of the dams on the Columbia and Snake Rivers. Instilling in his children integrity, loyalty and a good sense of humor, he will be dearly missed. Robert is survived by his children, Karon Eggers Dale, Kathy McLaughlin Dennis, Roberta Walters and Kenton Cox; brothers, Merritt and Charles; sisters, Betty, Alberta, Mary Lou, Terry and Joanna; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Frances; brothers, Richard and Daryl; and sisters, Patricia and Thelma. Honoring his wishes, a graveside service will be held Monday, November 21, 2011, 1:00 p.m., at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 10th and Union Street in Kennewick. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice at The Chaplaincy, 1480 Fowler Street, Richland, Washington 99352.
