Obituary

Rick Feser, 87, passed away May 23, 2024 in Kennewick, WA. Rick was born on September 29, 1936, in Glen Ullin, ND to Elizabeth and Max Feser. He was one of six children: Dick, Marilyn, Clarence, Adrian (identical twin brother) and Arden.

Rick, with his wife, Alice, moved from the Midwest to Kennewick in 1964 where they remained and raised their six children. Together, they began building spec homes in 1966, moved into custom homes shortly thereafter, and continued to build their successful A & R Feser Custom Home business with their family. Rick retired from building in 2006, when his son, Doug, took over the business.

Rick was also a self-taught, professional artist and a devoted outdoorsman, who merged both loves with an exceptional ability to portray emotion and experience in paintings of magnificent mountains, desert landscapes, multitudes of wildlife and more. In addition, Rick combined his love of history and artistry by bringing Kennewick Man alive on canvas in 2007. Rick's paintings are mostly held by private collectors but were displayed throughout the years in numerous exhibitions and galleries.

Rick was preceded in death by his sister Marilyn Lammer, brother, Dick Feser, brother, Adrian Feser, granddaughter, Katrina, and great-granddaughter, Aleeya. He is survived by his wife Alice of 66 years, brother Clarence Feser of Richland, WA, brother Arden Feser and wife, Donna, of Fargo, ND; his six children: daughter, Barb Crouch and husband, Jim, of Kennewick, WA; son, David Feser and wife, Shelby, of Mayer, AZ; daughter, Debbie Bartholomay of Kennewick, WA; daughter, JoAnn Feser of Kennewick, WA., son Doug Feser of Kennewick, WA; daughter, Karen Lott and husband Darren, of Bend, Oregon.

Rick also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Rick was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother-in-law, and uncle. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family in his spare time.

Rick will be laid to rest in Kennewick, Washington at Desert Lawn Memorial Park at 1401 S. Union St., Kennewick. Graveside services will be held on June 3rd at 11am. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rick's name may be made to Tri-Cities Chaplaincy c/o Hospice, 1480 Fowler St., Richland, WA 99352.

Rick will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. "Gone, but not forgotten."
