Richard W. Runsvold (Dick) ended his earthly journey on March 23rd, 2022 at the spry age of 93! Dick passed peacefully and he was ready to be at home with the Lord, his Wife Helen and son Richard. He was born June 12th, 1928 in Kalispell, MT to Lucille and Norman Runsvold . He moved to Spokane in 1942. He met Helen Houston in Spokane at church, and they were married in 1956. Dick worked as a forklift driver in a grocery warehouse for 38 years - he retired with the highest attendance record in company history, something like 3 days missed in 38 years. Dick was active in sports in his "younger years" enjoying snow skiing, bowling, and playing golf when time allowed. He was a master gardener and grew and stored just about every fruit and vegetable that he could. After retirement he and Helen enjoyed traveling the country - literally - in their 5th wheeler and later with the Corbin Center Tours. They were active members of Millwood community Presbyterian Church from 1963 up until 2016. He also donated the land for, and helped work on 5 Habitat For Humanity houses in the Spokane Valley. He was preceded in death by son, Richard Dean Runsvold (1973), wife Helen Runsvold 2020, brother George Elliott and sister Nan Ross. Survived by son Mark D Runsvold.
