Richard James Machart, 80, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on November 14, 1945, in Pine City, Minnesota, to Richard W. Machart and Lucille Valvoda.

Richard graduated from Kennewick High School in 1963 and attended Columbia Basin College. He proudly served in the Army National Guard from 1965 to1971. He worked for the Washington Department of Motor Vehicles before becoming the owner of Cascade Janitorial, which he operated from 1978 until 2025.

Richard was devoted to his family and was married to his beloved wife, Lindy, for 59 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Machart. He is survived by his wife, Lindy; his son, Aaron Machart (Kelly); his grandchildren, Tylor, Sadie, Mason, and Mitchell; and his great-grandchildren, Raven and Noah.

Richard will be remembered for his ability to never meet a stranger and for his willingness to help anyone in need. His kindness, generosity, and genuine care for others will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
