Richard fought a very long and courageous battle. He returned home to be with his Heavenly Father on September 5, 2007. Richard was born on April 23, 1932 in Pasco Washington to Iva and Luke Galloway. He grew up with two sisters Anna Mae and Louise. They were raised in Pasco and Klamath Falls. He attended Columbia Burbank High School were he enjoyed many activities and related clubs. Richard was proud to be in the United States Marine Corps. He experienced different countries such as Japan and Mexico. Richard was always quick to express his gratitude and appreciation for the Marines. The Marines made Richard a proud strong individual. After his honorable discharge Richard continued to always live the Marine lifestyle, neatly dressed and his cleanliness can only be compared to perfection. His manners were exceptional and he expected no less from anyone else. Richard married in 1956 to Marjorie Tolan. Richard and Marjorie had one daughter, Robin. After starting his career in construction Richard and his family traveled to California, Texas, and Alaska until Richard began a career at Energy Northwest in Richland Washington. Richard and Marjorie made their home in Kennewick Washington. Richard enjoyed woodworking, and putting around the yard as well as being a devoted husband and father. After retirement at the age of 70 Richard looked forward to spending time with his wife and relaxing. During his battle with Parkinson?s, Richard developed a hilarious relationship with his youngest great granddaughter, three year old Izabella. The two of them were a pair no doubt and the best of friends. Izabella adored her "Papa". He will be loved and remembered forever. Richard is survived by his wife Marjorie Galloway; daughter Robin Galloway Rodrigez and her husband Franki; grandson Sean Brown and his wife Leanne; great-grandchildren Jazmine, Izaac and Izabella Brown; sisters Anna Mae Watkins and her husband Harold, Louise Kathan and her husband Ed; and numerous aunts and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents Iva Galloway Thomas and Luke Galloway; niece Roxy Sheppard; uncles Elvin, Dale, and Henry Galloway. Viewing on Thursday, September 6th, 5pm to 8pm and Friday, September 7th, 10:00am to 1:00 pm at Mueller?s Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union, Kennewick. Graveside Services will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick on September 7th at 2:00pm.
