Rene Jean Heilig, 63, of Kennewick, WA, lost her yearlong battle with metastatic small cell lung cancer on September 15, 2023.

She was employed through Lamb Weston for 33 years and retired last year on her 62nd birthday. I know it was hard for her leaving all of her amazing friends she made over the years but was excited to start the new chapter in her life. The two things she cherished in life more than anything was her family and the Oregon Coast.

Rene is survived by her beloved husband Robert of 36 years; she will be fondly remembered by her daughter Nicole and her husband Daniel; and the two joyful and amazing grandkids, Hadley and Levi Pruitte. Rene will be missed by her two sisters, Rita and Robin and all the dear friends she made throughout her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 12-4 p.m.  at the CG Public House and Catering 9221 W. Clearwater Ave. in Kennewick.
