Obituary

RANDOLPH "RANDY" EDWIN KNODE, 76, of Kennewick, Washington passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, peacefully in his home where he was surrounded by his loved ones. Randy was born on February 13, 1946, in Rolla, North Dakota, and moved to Pasco, Washington, where he was raised. He was the son of Carl Bennett and Gladys (Belt) Bennett. Randy was married to Pamela Mae Knode on September 26 th , 1964, in Kennewick, Washington. They created a life together and had five beautiful children.

Randy was very passionate about his career at Burlington Northern Railroad that began in November 1965, and later took him to Kansas (1991) and Texas (1994). He returned to Kennewick upon retiring in 2005. In his free time he enjoyed woodworking, vacations with family, the beach/ocean, and taking care of his lawn that he was so proud of.  More recently, he was united with three half-siblings that he was honored to have met: MaryAnn Kenley, Karen Schweer, and Walter Musolf, Jr.

Randy is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela, mother Gladys Bennett, and stepfather Carl Bennett.  He is survived by his children; son Randolph "Randy" Knode Jr.; son Robert "Wendell" Knode and wife Christy; daughter Tonya (Knode) Dundas and husband Tom; daughter Tanna (Knode) Massey and husband Mark; son Frank Knode and wife Angie; ten grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Nathaniel, Macy, Brittani, Brooklyn, Brenden, Austin, Justin, and MaKenna; five great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Mia, Rylund, Kasen, and Aiden; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and a wonderful friend to many. Many hearts are shattered by the loss of Randy, but he is reunited with his wife and mother and is with the Lord now. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal. He is forever in our hearts.
