Rand Akins, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, was called home by our Lord and Savior to rest in eternal peace and everlasting life in heaven. Rand's love, wisdom, kindness and steadfast faith touched the lives of many.

Rand was born on December 18, 1947, in Vancouver, Washington. He graduated from Pendleton High School, where he developed a lifelong love of baseball. He continued both his academic and athletic pursuits at Blue Mountain Community College. After a year at Oregon State University, Rand transferred to Warner Pacific College, where he earned an undergraduate degree in Business and a master's degree in Religion.

Rand married the first love of his life, Phyllis (Parton) Akins, and together they raised two sons, Jared and Jaimen. A devoted husband and father, Rand led his family with strength, humility, encouragement, steadfast biblical principles, and a love of sports.

After Phyllis's passing, Rand wasn't finished with his role as a father and provider when he found true love again and married Stephanie (Lane) Akins, embracing his role as a stepfather to Jeromy Markee and Jessica (Markee) Wright.

A hardworking and dedicated businessman, Rand owned and operated Baskin-Robbins locations in the Tri-Cities and Moses Lake for more than 40 years. He was known for doing things the right way with honesty, discipline, and genuine care for others.

Rand found joy in life's simple and meaningful moments. He cherished family vacations to Cannon Beach, valued visits with friends and family across the country, and enjoyed baseball, volleyball, and hunting with his sons. He also took great pride in raising and training a wild Mustang with his stepdaughter, Jessica.

Above all, Rand was a man of faith. He was actively involved at C3 Church in Richland, serving on the board of directors for over 30 years. His life reflected his deep commitment to Jesus, helping others, living with integrity, and putting his faith into action.

Rand was preceded in death by his first wife Phyllis Akins; his father, Hadley Akins; his mother, Clifetta Akins; his brother, Clark Akins. Rand is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Akins; his sons, Jared Akins & wife Melissa; Jaimen Akins & wife Joy; his stepchildren, Jeromy Markee and Jessica Wright (Markee)& husband Korey; & his grandchildren, Jaeden, Krew, Jana, Joel, & Walker; and his brothers, Mark Akins & Brent Akins, and his stepmother, Elaine Akins.

Rand's legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the values he instilled, and the faith he carried throughout his life.
