Obituary

Ralph passed away at Trios Med. on July 23, 2022. He had suffered with Alzheimer's for many years. He was 82, he was born in Portland, OR, he attended Gresham High and graduated from Pasco Sr. High in 1958. He met Lynda Ball in 1960 and they married in 1961.

Ralph worked with his dad in family-owned Tri-City Roofing and for several other roofing companies. He and Lynda owned a janitorial and custom detail shop in the 70's. They owned "The Infant Tree," a children's clothing store for 9 years. Later on, Ralph worked in the asbestos removal trade, he traveled and worked on many large government projects. In 1990, he went to work at Hanford and was an Asbestos Supervisor. He retired in 2000.

He and Lynda worked together building two homes. Ralph was talented in the building trades. He and Lynda belonged to Clover Island Yacht Club for many years. They made many friends and had many beautiful boats and loved boating on the Columbia River.

After retiring, he and Lynda motorhomed all around the western states and New Mexico. In 2008, they bought a home in Yuma, AZ, remodeled it and bought a 2 nd home in 2011. They made that long drive every fall for 15 years. In 2019, Ralph was unable to drive, Lynda drove and they got their home ready to sell.

Ralph loved his "toys," ATV's, dune-buggy, trucks, motorcycles, etc. He built a nice shop behind their home. He had a great "man cave." He spent many hours tinkering up to the last days of his life.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest, and mother, Winona; brothers, Bob and Ron; and his beloved son, Cory. He leaves his wife, Lynda, of 61 years; his son, Ty (Theresa); granddaughter, Kali (KC) Hooper and Kyle Bricker; great-grandsons, Ty, Kade Hooper and Karen Bricker; sister-in-law, Sue Gabris; five nieces, two nephews and long-time friend, Butch Purkey Pyle, and other cousins.

He was loved by all his many friends, he was a strong and proud man with a loving soul, he was always doing for others.

He will live on in our hearts and memories forever.

A graveside service will be held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park on September 9 th at 2:00PM with memorial following.
