On May 20, 2012, Rafael Avalos Alvarez, beloved father, grandfather and husband, fulfilled his life's journey and went to be with our Lord and Savior. A 35 year resident of Kennewick, WA he was born on March 24, 1924 in Michoacán, Mexico to Doroteo Alvarez and Concepcion Avalos. He loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his family. Rafael is survived by nine children, thirty four grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, 1st wife Rosa Lopez Alvarez and five children. A viewing will be held at Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 11 am-7pm. Memorial service will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, May 25, 11:00am. He will live forever in our hearts as the greatest man, father and grandfather.
