Rachel L. Truitt, 90, passed away in Kennewick, Washington on August 29, 2012. She was born to Phillip and Elizabeth Lind on February 15, 1922 in Fort Morgan, Colorado. She married her husband of 48 years, Delbert W. Truitt, Jr. on September 26, 1964. Rachel worked for Welch's Grape Juice for 18 years, before retiring. She is survived by her husband, Delbert; six children, Barbara Wheeler, Charles Clark, Carolyn Hovdahl, Ona Archer, Cindy Kidder and Teresa Kidder; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and all four siblings. Memorial services, and a reception following, will be held Wednesday, September 5th, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, in Kennewick. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Rachel to Hospice at The Chaplaincy, 1480 Fowler Street, Richland, WA 99352.
