Rachel Delores Morgan, a devout Christian, was born on July 3rd, 1948 in Ketchum, ID to Paul and Cherry Purdy. Raised on a sheep ranch she gained the skills to compete as a barrel racer, later becoming a rodeo queen. In 1965, the Purdy family moved to Kennewick, Washington where in 1966 she graduated from Kennewick High School. In 1969 Rachel met the love of her life, Dana Morgan. Rachel would go on to marry Dana in 1971 with their first born coming in 1972

Rachel was a devoted Christian who cherished her Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ. She attended The Cathedral of the Desert working in youth ministry for 25 years before moving to Columbia Community Church (C3) where she loved serving as greeter welcoming guests. Rachel took solace in knowing the Lord was watching over her. Rachel's love of God's creation was most evident in her love of animals and the outdoors.

Rachel Morgan was preceded in death by Paul Purdy Sr., Cherry Purdy, Paul "Rusty" Purdy Jr., Paul Purdy III, Shawna Purdy, who she will meet again in Heaven, and is survived by her husband Dana Morgan, sister Penni Purdy, sons- Chad Morgan, Jeremy Morgan (daughter-in-law Emily Morgan), Ryan Morgan, grandchildren- Austin Morgan, Isaac Morgan, Josiah Morgan, Justus Morgan, Rebecca Morgan, Reese Morgan, Chance Morgan, extended grandchildren- Alexander Sripranaratanakul, James Sripranaratanakul, Charlie Sripranaratanakul, who know Rachel will be waiting for them in God's Kingdom.

A celebration of life will be held on April 17th 2026 at 11am at C3 Tri-Cities, 150 Gage Blvd, Richland, WA 99352.
