Raburn Roberts 87 years of age passed away at his home on September 10, 2023. Raburn was born March 4, 1936 in Quitman, Georgia to Leon and Mozelle Roberts. He was raised in Valdosta, Georgia and attended Valdosta High School. He enjoyed being a Valdosta Wildcat football player. Playing for the Wildcats, he assisted in winning State Championships.

Raburn was a journeyman/welder, electrician and member of I.B.E.W. for 65 years. Work at Hanford #2 brought us to the Tri-Cities in 1979.

After retiring from the electrical trade, he enjoyed owning and managing 65 rental units within the Tri-Cities along with his wife Joy. Together they enjoyed many years traveling with their Cougar trailer. They also enjoyed spending time at their vacation home in Ocean Shores, Washington.

Raburn is survived by his wife of 54 years and best friend Joy, their son Mark Roberts and his three daughters, Tina Brider of Las Vegas, Gina O'Neil and her husband Jonathan of Las Vegas., Bonnie Murphy and her husband Alan of California. He had 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Raburn has a brother Philip and his wife Karen of Florida, sisters Dorothy Hoefges of Florida, Tommie Cazel of Santa Rosa, California.

He was preceded in death by a brother Roy Roberts, sister Betty Lewis and a beautiful granddaughter Amber Lane. Also, tow beloved brothers-in-law, Durwood Lewis and Wesley Cazel.

Raburn was a true southern gentleman, very hard worker, loving husband and father. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

The gravesdie service will be October 17 at 11am at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 140 S. Union. Inlieu of flowers, donations can be made to Chaplaincy Hospice of Kennewick for their support and care over the last year.
