**Obituary**

Phillip John Bedell July 24, 1952 – November 12, 2024, Phillip John Bedell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully at his home on November 12, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on July 24, 1952, to David Thomas Bedell and Eleanor Ann Camarota at the Oak Knoll Navel Hospital in Oakland, CA. Phillip grew up with a love for learning and a deep sense of responsibility. Growing up as a "Navy brat" taught him resilience, adaptability, and a sense of service.

He graduated from UC Berkeley in 1974 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, setting the foundation for a lifelong career in the field. Phil began his professional journey at Fluor as a Civil Engineer, where his talent, leadership and commitment saw him rise through the ranks to become a highly respected Project Manager in Irvine, California and at the Hanford site in Richland, WA. His career with Fluor spanned decades, leaving a legacy of excellence and mentorship.

In 1974, Phil married Judy Kay Callaway, beginning a beautiful 39-year union filled with love, faith, and family. Judy passed away in February 2014. Phil later found love again, marrying Trish Moine in 2015; their union lasted 9 years. A man of deep faith, Phil was an active member of First Baptist Church in Richland, WA, where he served as a Deacon and in leadership roles with the Awana program. He found joy in serving others through Gideons International, ABWE Missions Board, and the prison outreach program, leaving a lasting mark on countless lives. Phil had a lifelong love for classic cars, action movies, aviation, and the works of "The Duke."

His passion for learning was evident in his extensive reading and conversations about life and faith. He never shied away from conversation and made friends wherever he traveled. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy; his parents, David and Eleanor; and his sister, Marsha. Phil is survived by his loving wife, Trish Moine-Bedell; his sister, Donna Maloy; his daughters, Alicia Harman and husband, Ryan Harman; and Amanda Grigg, along with his four cherished grandchildren: Stellar Bosioneau, Annabella and Jacqueline Sanborn, and Madison Harman. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Phil's steadfast faith, generous heart, and boundless love for his family and community will be deeply missed. His legacy is a testament to a life well-lived and a faith well-shared.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Phil's life and faith will be held at First Baptist Church in Richland, WA, on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 2:00 PM. There will be a fellowship reception to follow. He will be laid to rest at City View Cemetery in Pasco, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice, Gideons International, or ABWE Missions; both organizations close to Phil's heart.
