Pearl Lee Magnuson, age 86, of Walla Walla, Washington went to join her heavenly father on October 7,2014 while in her Kennewick home. A celebration of her life will be held on October 16, 2014 at the Pasco Bethel Church at 4:00pm. Pearl was born in Walla Walla Washington on 9/9/28 to Mary Howe and Leland Lee. She attended DeSales High School and went on to work for her family's Chinese restaurant the Bamboo Inn in Kennewick. She lived in the Tri Cities area since approximately 1946. Pearl's gregarious energy allowed her great success in sales by first supporting her husband of 18 years in car sales followed by working in a music store, the grocery industry and Sears Appliance Department. Her sales success afforded tremendous accolades as one of only four "million dollar" salespeople in the nation for 4 consecutive years. Pearl is survived by her exhusband, Lee Magnuson, her daughters Cheryl Powell and Kellee Balcom (Jared), her niece Mary Michele Walker (Randy), nephew (Richard Lee), 2 great-nephews (Kim Davis & Rick Walker), 3 grandchildren (Serena Williams, McKaila and Will Balcom) and special friend Leonard Hutchinson. Her pet parrot, Shea has been her long-time companion for 20+ years. Pearl is preceded in death by her mother (Mary), father (Leland), ex-husband (Merlin), brothers (Don and Richard Lee) and sister (Mary Lee). Pearl's fun-loving and service minded heart kept her involved in Meals on Wheels, Kettle Scrapers, Tri City Cloggers and Operation Christmas Child for many years after retirement. Coffee at McDonalds in combination with game nights with friends at Desert Pines and Charbonneau Senior Living accentuated her love for competition. Her life will be remembered for her intense perseverance, hard work, compassion towards others and faith in Jesus.
