Patricia was born in Norfolk, Virginia on July 16, 1924. She was the third child of Chiles and Grace Collins. She moved to Iowa at the age of 4 and made her home there until 1982 when she moved to the Tri-Cities. She met Iden Johnson in high school in Newton IA, and they married in 1946 in Des Moines, IA after Iden returned from fighting in WWII. Pat was particularly proud that she was in training to be a member of the Cadet Nurses Corps during WWII. She was primarily a homemaker and mother but took a break from that to own and operate a clothing and gift store in Grinnell, IA for 10 years. After moving to the Tri-Cities she worked at J.C. Penneys and as a morning hostess at the Silvercloud Motel. Her parents and 3 brothers predeceased her. She is survived by three daughters: Cathleen (Paul) Carter of Roselle, Ill; Susanne (Curt) Kooiker of Richland, WA and Rebecca (Wes) Harris of Charleston, S.C. She has seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Private services will be held with the family at a later date.
